Basement finish electrical work
Finishing a basement creates new bedrooms, bathrooms, living areas, storage, and sometimes kitchens or utility spaces. Each room needs an electrical layout based on how the space will be used.
Tell us about your projectBuild the electrical layout around the floor plan
Framing plans tell us where rooms begin and end, but furniture, televisions, desks, bathroom equipment, and lighting choices help determine where devices should go. Planning those details early produces a basement that works better after move-in.
We also account for equipment or spaces that may need dedicated circuits rather than grouping everything onto general-use circuits.
Rough-in and final trim
Rough electrical work takes place while framing is open. Wiring, boxes, and planned circuit paths need to be in place before insulation and drywall cover the walls and ceilings.
Final trim happens after the finished surfaces are ready. This stage includes devices, fixtures, and final connections. Keeping both stages tied to one plan reduces gaps between what was roughed in and what the finished basement needs.

Before you contact us
Do I need a finished floor plan first?
A reasonably settled floor plan is the best starting point. Room uses, walls, doors, bathrooms, cabinets, and major equipment affect the electrical layout.
Can you handle the electrical work through final trim?
Yes. Basement finish work can include the electrical layout, rough wiring, and final devices and fixtures.
What photos are helpful?
Wide photos of the unfinished basement, the electrical panel and its labels, utility areas, and any planned kitchen, bathroom, theater, or equipment locations are useful.
